Alba members visit Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway
On Friday 22nd July 2016 Alba members travelled to Armadale's speedway track for an evening photographing the home team of Ediniburgh Monarchs against the Scunthorpe Scorpions in one of their Premier League rounds.
15 heats of racing throughout the evening provided an exciting opportunity to grab some good action shots of the riders on the damp gravel track from an earlier downpour. Good clear viewpoints however were extremely hard to come by, making it harder to achieve those shots without the distraction of a pole or barrier being in the way, not to mention the incredible speed of the bikes. Timing was crucial to shoot between the poles and get the shot you were after!
The weather however was fine once again for our members to thoroughly enjoy the evening among the supporting crowd and enjoying their photography with the rest of the group as usual. Thanks once again to drivers Roy and Bernadette for their services on the evening.
